The shirts are very cool looking.

    Dear Mr. Schilling,

Thank you for letting us know about this fabulous shirt. I hope to unwrap it on Christmas.

Once again if Mrs. Schilling needs a volunteer on the 6th, I will be happy to assist. If you want to skip on down to sunny Tucson on the 7th, you and your family are invited to dinner. It’s going to be 78 degrees today!!

    Have a safe trip.

Ooh I love that T shirt. Good sales job, Curt. Now it’s on my list.

Though, hmm, “WE did it again” — heck, YOU guys did it. I just watched in sheer excitement. Should I really go around taking some credit from you?

Ah, heck, I will, especially when it also benefits a good cause. And thanks for making us feel like we’re such a part of it. :)

I just printed that out, thanks! Hopefully the man will get the hint. I entered the contest they had for the World Series Champs shirt, it didn’t pan out for me :(
    Peace

    is the shirt really $90???

    Hey Curt,

Thanks again for staying with the Red Sox! My nine year old son is ecstatic and has idolized you since the 2004 World Series. He has one thing one his Christmas list, a 16 x 20 autographed picture of you for his bedroom that he found on mlb.com. I understand the supply and demand aspects and that people make a tremendous amount of money off of your signature and I think that you should make all you can as well. I don’t mind paying as well, but $400.00 or more is getting a little steep for most of us. My son does a great job pitching on a 12 year old team and like most dads, I want to encourage his passion for the game. I think the adults, eBay, etc. have ruined the autographs for the kids, especially when you live in a state that doesn’t have a major league team. In my nostalgic opinion, baseball should still be about kids and encouraging the game and every aspect of it.

Thanks again for staying with the Red Sox and for your blog. We can’t wait for next season and a repeat as World Series Champions!

Want to make a less expensive version so more of us can afford it? Wow! I nearly fell over at the price… : (

  7. law1599 Says:

The shirt design is made of Genuine Swarovski crystals (403 of them) and custom designed. Great wash and wear. ChixAppeal designed the World Series Champs shirts for the wives and families however, could not sell them due to licensing. The fans requested we do another one geared towards the Red Sox. We offer a full line of Collegiate apparel and are willing to take suggestions for future designs!!! Happy Holidays!!!

    Dear Mr. Schilling,

Nice tee shirt for the ladies, but it’s got me wondering about all the ‘official’ Red Sox worn uniform shirts currently up for auction on ebay. With little if any of the proceeds being credited to your favorite charities, ALS and SHADE could you or Red Sox ownership auction team merchandise directly on eBay for charitable fund raising?

Given the global audience of eBay, I’m sure there are many people who would bid an outrageous amount of money on anything you or your kind wife autographed and the proceeds of the sale would handsomely benefit your charities. Maybe Red Sox management could entertain the thought about teaming up with the online auction giant to aid raising monies to support their charities as well. Attending a charitable gala is an event beyond the lifestyle of many Red Sox fans and the plain folks whose friends or loved ones have ALS or skin cancer. Be honest now, how many guys at your local grocery store or even your gaming company are springing $250 for a ticket to the SHADE gala? Getting them to dress up for anything is a feat to say the least. Yet I think many of these same people would open their wallets in a heartbeat if the opportunity to bid online for a Schilling or Red Sox item was presented in the convenience of their home or workplace (hey we all know that a portion of lunchtime is spent on the company computer surfing ebay).

Just a thought as there are probably a lot of legal snafus involved. I have two friends with ALS and it is a devastating condition. If more people can donate money to the ALS and SHADE organizations, everyone will benefit.

I’m married to a Mets fan…no way she would wear a Sox shirt. Could be worse..she could be a Y****e fan ;)

  11. dukefrukem Says:

  12. iluvny Says:

  13. lollardfish Says:

Or, my wife says, she could by 18 t-shirts on sale for 5$ a piece at Target this week.

  14. timlin50 Says:

//Sox fans shopping for their wives, girlfriends?//

How about Sox fans shopping for themselves, Curt?

Surely you’ve noticed probably half the people who show up at Fenway are women, right? Heck, maybe even MORE than half.

Not all baseball fans are men.

  15. scallop Says:

Sorry but this t-shirt thing leaves a bad bad taste….Ok, so 10 dollars go to charity but there’s NO way that would be an 80 something dollar T-Shirt.

I tell you what Curt, what would you say if I sold a Red Sox baseball hat with Crystals on it for 90 bucks and donated TWENTY dollars to charity. Would you support it knowing I’m still making 50 bucks a hat profit?

    Well?

PS: Do you own a piece of the t-shirt company?

    No I don’t.

  16. Stef Says:

I’m a full time non traditional student and it’s the end of the semester… if I had 91.99, I wouldn’t speak to anyone! LOL

I’d rather have a real authentic jersey anyway… what do I need with fancy crystals anyway?

They could make them with sequins, sell them for $10 a piece, then donate ALL the money to ALS and Shade…

    Just a thought…

  17. clergyjack Says:

    Hey Schill,

If you want to start raking it in, why don’t you sell socks with the original Heinz 57 Ketchup on them.

Bet you’d sell more than even a first class diva/drama queen could even begin to imagine.
